Moles... Removing them?

I heard that If you have alot of moles on your body (more than 20) you should consider seeking a dermitologist and getting some removed before they turn into cancer (which apparently they will do, if you have more than 20. *dies*). I was wondering, If I was to get some moles removed, would It hurt and leave scarring on my skin?

Moles... Removing them?
First, there is no number of moles above which will ensure you get cancer. The type of moles that turn into cancer are a specific type. Usually they are more than one centimeter around and will have an irregular shape and multi-colored. These are the kinds to worry about. You need to go to the dermatologist and have him/her put an end to your worry. They will look at each mole and determine if there is a risk or not. They might ask you to come back again or they might want to remove one or two. The removal process is not bad at all. I had a few removed - one precancerous and it did leave a small scar. the best thing to do is to go to a plastic surgeon if the mole that needs to be removed is in a very visible place. Stop worrying!
