Moles... Removing them?

I heard that If you have alot of moles on your body (more than 20) you should consider seeking a dermitologist and getting some removed before they turn into cancer (which apparently they will do, if you have more than 20. U__U). I was wondering, If I was to get some moles removed, would It hurt and leave scarring on my skin?

no worries my friend! i had one taken off on my arm and the numbing shot hurts a little but its over quick and then you cant feel a thing when he cuts it off. and about the scars..NONE! ok it forms a scab and then it comes off when its healed. you then just have a little white place where it was taken off but it'll tan again lol!

I have lots of dark colours spots on my skin they are mostly flat and i have looked into it.


If you have the same thing as i do then the scar with show much more than the actual pigmentation.


I didn't like these moles but now people say they don't change any thing looks wise. I'm still f**k ugly lol.
Reply:I had a mole taken off of my back and it left a scar--not particularly big but noticeable. It did not hurt during the procedure (they basically shaved it off), but it took several weeks to heal and it itched like crazy while it was healing. If you have a lot of moles, you can ask if your dermatologist has a scanning system. Basically, you stand parly clothed (or nude if you have moles everywhere), and cameras take pictures of you 360 degrees. The pictures are loaded into a computer. You can get the scan done every year or 6 months or whatever your doc decides and the computer will compare all the moles with the previous pictures to determine if any of the moles have grown, changed shape, etc. If you don't have a lot of moles, it may be easier just to check them yourself or have the doc do it, one by one. I have more than 20 moles, but they are all normal (except the one I had removed, which turned out to be benign), so there was no reason to have them removed. As long as you use sunscreen always and check the moles periodically, you'll be fine.
