Can you miss work if you're having a skin biopsy?

I'm getting a mole that I have on my back tested for melanoma/skin cancer. The doctor said it will be a very simple and quick procedure but I was wondering if I could take advantage of this and miss work?

Can you miss work if you're having a skin biopsy?
Hello?! Priorities?!

Life and death....or work (for a measely company that doesn't give a flying you know what about you, your health, etc)?

Which is more valualble to you?

If your job can't let you take off for a medical procedure......is that someone/someplace you really want to be loyal to?!

Your employer needs to understand that in life.........there is a healthy balance between life and work......

and that they are not the only employer in the world.

If they value YOU......the answer should be simple.

......here's hoping your employer is worthy of YOU.

Goodluck.

Reply:No you can't!! Read the employee manual, you can not take time off for any reason whatso ever.
Reply:That depends on your job, some places allow you personal time...you can use it for that. Some places give sick time, you could use it, since you are seeing a doctor...but I've had moles removed and it doesn't take time to recover so you might want to save those days for when you really need them.
Reply:Yeah, it's not really worth missing work for. It was 99.99% painless for me.
