I've had a mole on my cheek that was round and had a crust. and at one point I started scratching it (not because it itched, but because I didnt know it could lead to skin cancer) and now it has some lighter zones and some lighter zones, it is not a circle and doesnt have a crust. it still doesn't itch, it has never bleed or anything like that. I just want to make sure that this couldnt develop into something serious.
Can my mole become a skin cancer?
You MUST see a dermatologist if there is ANY CHANGE IN A MOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
changing mole ==%26gt; possible cancer (treatable)
Reply:I suggest you see your dermatologist. If a mole changes, there might be a problem.
Reply:It is best to get a doctor's opinion BUT in general a non cancerous or benign mole is symetrical in shape , has regular borders and a consistent color. If the mole changes shape or color, grows or is uneven then it may be cancerous. IF it turns black get it removed ASAP because it is cancer.
Reply:You should go to your doctor and have the mole removed. You should never scratch a mole or do anything to remove it yourself. They can sometimes cause cancer.
