Is it possible to get skin cancer after one blistering sunburn?

Last month I got a severe blistering sunburn on skin that had never been exposed to the sun before (shoulders and back) now I see very dark freckles or moles on the skin now. Is it possible to get melanoma from just one bad sunburn event?

Is it possible to get skin cancer after one blistering sunburn?
Yes, it is possible. You can get cancer anywhere on your body at anytime. You don't even need a sunburn to get skin cancer. You don't have to have ever smoked and you can get lung cancer. You don't have to have ever drank to get liver cancer. Cancer is abnormal cell growth and it can happen at anytime to anyone.

But you can lessen the chances by protecting yourself. Use SPF 50 next time you go out in the sun.
Reply:Yes, it is.
Reply:Cancer is a vitamin deficiency disease.

Some people are more prone to it than others.

The cure for cancer has been known for over 100 years.

The sun can permanently damage skin. Skin doesn't recover well from trauma events. Dermatologists have a number of ways to resolve skin issues, but if you're prone to cancer, there's nothing in your dermatologist's bag of tricks to prevent it. The best way to avoid skin issues is to avoid trauma rather than repair afterwards.

The best way to avoid cancer is to get the nutrition necessary to maintain healthy cells. Incorporate more nitrilocide-rich foods into your diet. millet, wheat, other grains %26amp; seeds.
