I scratched a mole off of my skin on accident and it's bleeding, should I get it checked by a doc?

It's a kind of big mole and it's just a hole in my skin now and I put antibiotic ointment and covered it with a bandaid, just not sure if I should get it checked by a doctor or not, or what will happen to it now, will it just scar or is there a good chance it will get infected?

Reply:If it got scratched off by accident, you will have to watch and see what happens. If it just heals up, that's fine. But if it comes back after it heals, then you need to go to the doctor and have it checked. As far as the scar, it depends on how large, but it will fade with time.
Reply:put anticeptic cream on it. if it is a pretty big mole, then the wound could be quite big as well. Importantly, don't let it get infected by germs. So apply anticeptic cream and keep the wound clean. Don't meddle with the wound too much, let it heal on its own, it shouldn't scar. If it does you can try scar repairing cream from the pharmacy, but consult the pharmacist first.

aside from the risk of an infection, moles have a risk of becoming malignant. what i'm trying to say is, have it checked out just to be sure that it's not cancerous.
Reply:eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww sorry i had to say that but anyways no you dont have to see a doctor unless you think that it is that serious. but just make sure that you keep the clean so it doesnt get infected.
