my son has had jsut about every skin problem you can think of...
from the time he hit puberty he has had severe acne, blackheads, lots of moles, flaky skin, weird colorations and blemishes on the skin, oily scalp, warts, cysts, bald spots in his facial hair, etc, etc...
yet he had none of them when he was a child....
i just find all these things to be very suspicious....does he just have bad luck%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; or is there an internal cause of all these?? something isn't right on the inside which is causing this?? chemically?? hormonally???
i appreciate your opinions.....he has shattered self esteem...
Causes of bad skin problems?
Awww, Bless him, I know how it feels, One day I got so fed up with having acne and skin problems, I went to my doctor, who gave me some cream - Like your son my self esteem had gone too, I felt I couldn't talk to new people or meet new friends, because I was worried about what they would be thinking about my face, Anyway, my doctor gave me some cream, which worked wonders, I now have my self esteem back and feel more happy within myself, Also my doctor said having such skin problems was to do with having too many hormones producing too much all at the same time. I don't think it has anything to do with chemicals used on the skin.
I suggest he goes to his doctor ( You could go to ) and get some cream, if it doesn't work within 6 weeks, go back and get some more - something WILL work for him, It is all about trial and error, and finding something that works for his skin. I wish him luck.
Reply:Bad skin comes from the elements that he has been too or inheriting it from your family member (Genes) who has bad skin problems. He does not have bad luck just a trip to the Dermatologist will do and good hygiene.
He'll be okay.
Reply:hormones play a big role in the bad skin condition, and its just a part of growing up.
you have to get him into a skin care routine or see a dermatologist
to see what they can do.
Reply:oh gosh poor thing :(
I would not say i suffered from acne but i did have bad pimples.
Much of it was inhereited from my mother as she said she had the same problems.
I also realised that my haor touching my face contributed.
What i learnt made it go away was a mixture of acne medication and water...LOTS of water as it flushes out your body.
