can freckles have skin cancer like moles do? Are people with freckles more likely to get skin cancer than people who don't?
Do....cause skin cancer?
People with a lighter skin tone are supposed to be more likely to get skin cancer, so I would take that into consideration. If you are fair skinned, make sure that you wear an SPF 35 or more sunblock, and try to keep sun exposure to a minimal. This will help against Free-Radicals, which are what makes your skin age and are also linked to skin cancer. Enjoy your natural self, freckles and all.
Reply:There are just some moles that are more likely to turn to cancer - it is not definite, just some need to be watched more than others. Freckles are not anything close to a mole. However - sunburns tend to leave freckles (or maybe they are just age spots) and fair skinned people get freckles more than darker skin people - so freckles are just an indication that you need to protect your skin from the sun.
