If you get skin cancer in a mole will the mole change or stay the same?

The mole will:

- Change color. Usually it will be several different colors.

- Change shape. Usually it will have oddly shaped edges, instead of circular.

- Change size. Usually, if it's bigger than an eraser (on the back of a pencil), you should get it checked out.

Ensure your doctor does a check of any of your "beauty marks" during your annual physicals. They can easily be removed with lasers if they're questionable.

The mole with likely discolor and become irregualar in shape. You should have you doctor look at your moles whenever you go...
Reply:I would change but you should go to a doctor and not rely on answers.yahoo for such a serious quesiton
Reply:It will change, though sometimes you won't notice a change unless you take a picture over a few weeks/months/years.
Reply:it will turn darker, swell or go black... get an autopsy to see if it is cancer, it may just be the mole...dont worry
Reply:The mole will change. If you have a changing mole see a dermatologist right away!!!
Reply:I believe the mole darkens over time and grows larger. Sometimes if aggravated, it bleeds.

You should really get it checked and have a medical procedure called a Biopsy done to be sure.
Reply:It depends on what action you take on it. If you want it gone, you can cut it out, burn it out or put emu oil on it for a month then it will change colour, shrink dry out and then you just wash it off.
Reply:The mole will usually change. However, the change may not be noticeable to you. I was diagnosed in January with Melanoma. I had no other symptoms but a strange looking mole on the back of my upper right thigh. I'm not one to be out in the sun too much and the area of my body it was located was not an area that would have really been exposed to the sun. Since then, I've had three surgeries and am awaiting my body to heal up from the surgeries enough to get chemotherapy.

If you or somebody you know has a questionable looking mole, it's definitely worth the time to get it checked out by a dermatologist.
Reply:Usually, it will change. I had one nearly triple in sise.

Best wishes
Reply:Surely that will have a change in color, consistency, size, appearance.from its original color (Mole may be pink or black or brown )It may become firm to hard on pressure,it may increase in size,it may looks like cauliflower! But this all happenes while the cancer is in progress !If it is stationary dont worry but Pl dont go for tatoomarks as it will enhance this cancer activity in future !Always YouRsmE
