What happens if you have a mole that is skin cancer and do nothing about it?

I'm just curious!

What happens if you have a mole that is skin cancer and do nothing about it?
Definately get it checked out by a professional (dermatologist/doctor). My dad passed away from skin cancer which became Melanoma. If you have it removed during the early stages there is less chance of it spreading. If you wait the cancer can spread to your vital organs. It's deadly and nothing to ignore. A good web site to learn more about skin cancer is http://www.mpip.org.
Reply:The cancer will spread to surrounding areas - and head to the lymph nodes - and likely a major organ such as your liver, lungs - stomach, brain, the bones- the sooner you get it removed and the margins are clear the better your chances are that you stand a good chance of survival -
Reply:It depends on the type of skin cancer. There are some that you can die with and some that you can die of. When in doubt, cut it out
Reply:kelly e is absolutely correct with her answer. The key to surviving skin cancer is early detection and prompt treatment.Get to a dermatologist ASAP!!!! This is not something you can ignore. It will not go away.IT WILL KILL YOU WITHOUT PROPER TREATMENT!!!!
Reply:You can die I have a friend who is dieing from sink cancer right now and he had it treated but it came back and then went to his lungs and now there is nothing else that can be done he is going to die so not treating it would be a very bad thing to do.
