Just had a minor skin lesion removed?

i think i may hav made the wrong decision, just yesterday i had a blood vessel mole like skin lesion removed from under my eye, i've had it for over 8 months and hav been trying to get it removed for months (seeing doctors, getting referred doctor to doctor, waiting for appointments) i grew very impatient

The blood vessel just grew mysteriously one day, and grew up to 8mm big and was 3D, but over time it became a little smaller and changed colour to aorund 4mm, but i was still VERY unhappy about it becos it's under my eye where everybody looks and i grew very self consicous!!

i've looked at previous questions here and relised that the scar may never heal, but i had just been waiting for so long that yesterday when i got to the doctors i just got it removed. have i made a big mistake? would it hav eventually disappeared? the doc sed the scar may be 5-10mm long..

Should i hav just left it? hav i made it worst, i dont' want a scar and i know that's impossible..i'm very worried

I am not a doctor, but it sounds like you made a good decision. A growth near your eye could become serious, especially if it were to become larger. It is possible the doctor sent the tissue out for a biopsy to make sure it wasn't malignant (you need to ask him about that).Having a scar is a lot less worse than if it had perhaps grown into your eye...

You could try pure vitamin E oil on the scar (get your doctor's okay first). It may take a year for the scar to become almost unnoticeable...also there is a Neosporin Scar patch
Reply:Just consult your doctor
Reply:There's a very good product called

m'Lis TISSUE REPAIR CREAM. It's about $28 USD for an ounce. This will last you a year. The sooner you start using this or some other product the better (reduced scarring) and quicker your healing will be. Good luck!
Reply:try dabbing a very tiny amout of Bio Oil on the scar, make sure its healed and avoid the actual eye the best you can,

i had a scar on the soft tissue just under the bottom lid and it really did fade a heck of a lot.

it will take a while but the long term results are terrific

wish you well with this :D
Reply:My mother had a skin cancer surgically removed from under her left eye it was as big as a quarter. She used Neosporin on it immediately after the surgery every time she changed the bandage and you can not tell she ever had it done. Theres no visible scar what so ever. It also healed in just a little over a month.
Reply:Some people scar more than others. From here, I can't tell. There are a couple of suggestions already in your answers. I cannot affirm them, but if they do not work, here is what will. Get a bottle of Castor oil, and some cotton flannel. Soak the cotton in the oil, and place it over the scar with a band aid. It will be tricky, but study it out. Do that every night (you can reuse the soaked cotton until it gets rather ugly) and in a few weeks you will see a noticeable improvement, and in a few months the scar will be virtually invisible.
