Skin cancer?

I'm a 15-year old guy and i have noticed that i have a lot of small moles on my chest, arms and around my neck. The ones on my chest are dark and black, but the other ones are brown. I have about 20 moles but none of them are on my face . Is this a sign of skin cancer? should i go to the doctor?

Skin cancer?
you should only be really concerned if they change in appearance. the american cancer society suggests these guidelines, follow abc

a- asymmetrical, even in shape

b- borders, even all the way around not jagged

c- color, even in color

see a dermatologist if you're really concerned. i've had about a dozen removed. they cut them out under local anesthesia. one of them is coming back. they all tested fine.
Reply:I'd go to dermatologist and have them checked out before they go too far..it's nothing to have them taken off, and then you can sleep nights.
Reply:Having moles doesn't mean that you have skin cancer. However, moles can be cancerous. You should see a doctor about them, so they can at least be looked at. Always be sure to note any changes in your moles.
Reply:If you have skin that is prone to moles you should make it a regular occurence to get a once yearly skin check at a dermatologists office. I did and it saved my life
